TEAMSTER.ORG | The country’s largest proxy voting advisor, ISS, has recommended that UPS shareholders VOTE FOR proposal 3 for increased lobbying disclosure. Because UPS does not disclose information regarding its trade association participation, including the portion of its trade association payments used for lobbying purposes or any oversight mechanisms UPS may have implemented to manage its memberships and related activities, ISS concludes the proposal merits support.
ISS noted that this type of information would allow shareholders to better assess the company’s comprehensive political activities and its management of related risks and opportunities. If you are a shareholder of UPS, don’t forget to vote FOR Proposal 3 before the company’s annual meeting on May 5, 2016.
Voting instructions can be found here.
