8,600-member strong Local 174 will stand behind Seattle educators in their fight for fair contract

As hardworking educators in the Seattle School District continue their battle for a fair contract, the leadership and members of Teamsters Local 174 offer our full support wherever this contract fight goes. At a time of unprecedented attacks on educators, the Teamsters stand in solidarity with the selfless and tireless workers who look after and guide our children day in and day out.

The educators of SEA have a special relationship with Teamsters Local 174, which blossomed in 2018 when Seattle Education Association educators stood with striking Teamster school bus drivers throughout the Seattle School District, joining our members on picket lines in a massive swell of support. It is our honor now to offer the same encouragement and support to our Sisters and Brothers as they stand strong and fight for a fair contract.
