LOUISVILLE BUSINESS FIRST | UPS Airlines mechanics say a contract proposed by United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS) would significantly increase health care costs and do little to improve wages for its employees.
The mechanics are represented by Teamsters Local 2727. In a news release, the union said attempts to negotiate a contract for workers have proven fruitless during the last month because of “vast differences” in positions related to health insurance benefits.
