The Executive Board of Teamsters Local 174 is pleased to announce the hiring of Rich Abitia and Eric Skog as our newest UPS Business Agents! Rich has been a package car driver at the Pacific building for fifteen years. Eric comes from the Redmond building, where he has been working as a 22.3 employee on the twilight and night shifts.

New UPS Business Agent Rich Abitia

Rich’s Teamster career first began in 1997, when he was hired as a UPS peak season helper. In 1998, he started work on the Local Sort, and became a full-time UPS driver at the Pacific building in 2004. He has been serving as a Shop Steward for several years, and now joins the team at Local 174 as a Business Agent. He is excited to take on his new role representing UPS Teamsters on a larger scale.
