The temperature is rising at Nelson Trucking, as our members assembled picket signs today after voting unanimously to authorize a strike.

“It is still our hope and our goal to reach a fair deal for these highly skilled heavy haul drivers and riggers,” said Local 174 Secretary-Treasurer Rick Hicks. “This is one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in the Teamsters Union, as there have been multiple deaths in this line of work. Our members deserve recognition and respect for the challenging work they perform every day, and we are ready to do whatever it takes to secure an Agreement that is worthy of the skills they provide.”
